2024 NCEA Calculus, Complex Numbers How I'd Answer

 As always I limited myself to a trusty Casio calculator and used only techniques taught at year 13. 

Some of these questions could have been answered differently using more advanced techniques. 

I'm not a big fan of complex number analysis, I don't use them in my professional life as a mathematician. 

NCEA 3 Calculus Complex Numbers Exam 2023

Here's the complex numbers paper from the 2023 NCEA 3 calculus paper. 

All in all a fair exam. A few things students would need to know, such as the remainder theorem. I did find myself going down the odd rabbit hole in the later questions.
